Well... you know the sort of teenage boys you hear about getting themselves killed by taking really stupid risks? That was me. All I cared about was having power and having fun. Which meant I needed a shortcut to power.

Logic and the sort of kid I was aren't exactly on the best terms.

Still, sometimes I wish I wasn't living through... I think I read something somewhere that called the story "The Beauty and the Beast". And I don't think breaking the curse is going to be as easy as finding my true love - which I kind of doubt is as easy as the stories make it, either.

Well, if he wasn't stupid, he'd probably have stopped being a sweet guy a long time ago. He's got a kind of innocence you have to be kind of dim to hold onto, but it works anyway. He's like a little kid, almost.
